Designed for agricultural lenders with less than one year of experience or those wishing to upgrade their position. It focuses on topics like customer and financial product knowledge, portfolio segmentation, sales and marketing, tax return analysis, small loan analysis and much more. Training is presented in 10 easily digestible modules that include self-paced, interactive, online Flash presentations by Dr. David Kohl, application exercises, and access to mentors and peers via email and the FCU Forum. Trainees log into the FCU eLearning System to take exams on each module and provide feedback to the FCU Administrator on the quality of the learning throughout the curriculum to help us keep the content quality and the system's ease of use the best it can be.
This curriculum also includes a face-to face “halftime session” at which trainees meet for several days for additional training and application of the module content in a group setting. At the end of the curriculum, each trainee completes a comprehensive final project that demonstrates their understanding of the curriculum material.
